Marla Glabe is the Chief Executive Officer of Management Control International, Inc., a private firm specializing in asset management and the Lead Managing Director for MasterMind Advisory Board, a corporation offering advisory services to CEOs and Business Entrepreneurs. Marla serves on the Board of Directors of Royal Neighbors of America Life Insurance Company, Wintrust Wealth Management, First Insurance Funding Corporation and Northwest Community Healthcare. Marla is a member of Heidrick & Struggles’ Chief Advisor Network, an Executive Mentor for The Menttium Program, a member of the YWCA’s Academy of Women Achievers, and Board of Director for North-Northwest Chicago United Way.

Prior to joining Management Control in 2009, Marla served as a Senior Executive with Allstate Insurance Company and as a member of the Allstate Life Insurance Company Board of Directors. She has extensive experience in building and developing new businesses, and in leading major operating organizations within the Allstate Financial Group. As Senior Vice President of Allstate Strategic Operations, she managed a team of 1,400 employees with responsibility for customer service, product development, asset/liability management, and implementation of an ALCO Committee and technology to support improved portfolio decision making for a $40 billion asset portfolio. As President, COO and Board Member of the Glenbrook and Northbrook Life Insurance Companies, Marla was responsible for $1.5 billion in life and annuity revenue and $10 billion in assets through the broker/dealer and commercial bank distribution channels. Marla spearheaded the acquisition of the Laughlin Group, a third party marketing firm specialized in the implementation of insurance marketing programs at commercial banks, and as a senior officer in Corporate Finance, established Allstate’s enterprise-wide Six Sigma Center of Expertise, increasing profit margin by $330 million.

Marla holds a BS in Actuarial Science, with a minor in Finance, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she was a James Scholar, and is a graduate of Duke University’s Strategic Executive Education Marketing Program. She is a member of the Society of Actuaries and is a graduate of Northbrook’s Leadership Development for Civic Roles. Marla and her husband, Jack, reside in Northbrook, Illinois.
